During this walking tour, you will not only discover the most delicious food in Mumbai but also visit a few of Mumbai's world-renowned architectural wonders.

Mumbai is the financial capital, the fashion capital, and the film capital of India. But one of its best-known secrets is its famous culinary delights.

If you enjoy food and want to learn about some of the local cultures, then this tour group tour is tailored just for you. 

Our local guide will take you to Mumbai’s best-hidden eateries and you will be welcomed to sample a variety of exquisite treats that will make you ask for more. The food will be vegetarian only but we assure you that you will not lack flavors or diversity in what will be served.

The guide will also explain you the uniqueness and the history behind the Indian dishes that will be selected. India has a large Hindu vegetarian population, and our guide will take you to the most popular food stalls, where locals meet and eat in a friendly spirit.

  • Indian Masala Chai (Tea):  Made fresh from lemongrass, ginger, and cardamom.
  • Vegetable Samosa: A samosa is a fried or baked dish with a savory filling, such as spiced potatoes, onions, and other stuffing.
  • Bhelpuri: A sweet, spicy & sour-tasting snack made with puffed rice and a mix of different chutneys (a spicy condiment of Indian origin) along with onions, tomatoes, and boiled potatoes.
  • Sevpuri: A dish of flat fried discs made from whole wheat flour topped with crisp fried gram flour vermicelli, spicy, sweet, and a tangy delicacy.
  • Pav Bhaji: The signature dish of Mumbai. A mix of mashed vegetables cooked in gravy with a unique blend of spices and served with soft buttered bread.
  • Dosa: Dosa batter is made from rice dough and stuffed with spicy potato, onion, and garlic veggie filling.
  • Vada Pav: The Autograph dish of Mumbai: It consists of a deep-fried potato dumpling placed inside a bread bun made from using chili pepper, ginger, deep-fried mashed potato patties with ginger and spicy and sweet chutneys. Green chili pods are available to make it hotter!
  • Lassi: A thick yogurt drink made with sugar and rosewater or Mango.

  • The cost is 39 US$ per person for an All-you-can-eat local StrEAT food tour with vegetarian delicacies and to be paid upon reservation and is not refundable.
  • The tour runs every evening.
  • The tour starts at 5.30pm/17:30.
  • The tour lasts between 3 to 3.5 hours
  • Meeting point: Roundabout of Regal Cinema, Colaba
  • Finishing Point: Victoria Terminus.
  • We request participants to meet 15 minutes before the tour starts. We will not be able to accommodate late arrivals.
  • Our Mumbai Group tours are exclusively for a maximum of 12 people or less.
